Brick, Limewash and Stone Texture Ideas for Feature Walls
Brick and stone texture does not always mean exposing an original wall. Painted brick, limewash, brick slips and stone cladding can all give texture, but they create very different moods.
Whitewashed brick feels softer in lounges, warm limewash works well behind beds, brick slips can add character to hallways, and stone cladding suits kitchens where lighting can pick out the texture.
Think about dust, sealing, damp, sockets, shelves and lighting before starting. Texture walls look best when the edges, trims and surrounding paint colours are planned properly.
