Home Workshop Ideas for Sheds, Garages and Utility Spaces
A good workshop is less about having every tool and more about making the tools you own easy to reach, charge, use and put away. That can work in a shed, garage, utility corner or outbuilding.
Start with a sturdy bench, then add wall storage above it, drawer storage below it and clear zones for cutting, fixing, sanding and charging. Keep heavier items low, frequently used hand tools at eye level and long materials away from main walkways.
Lighting matters more than people expect. Add bright task lighting above the bench, keep sockets away from damp areas, and leave space to move safely around timber or sheet materials.
