Method
- Choose a sunny, sheltered position.
- Plant deeply so the stem can root into the compost.
- Add a cane or support at planting time to avoid damaging roots later.
- Water consistently, especially once fruit starts forming.
- Feed after the first truss sets fruit, following the feed instructions.
- Pinch side shoots on cordon varieties, but leave bush types to branch.
