How to Install an Integrated Basin to a Vanity Unit
An integrated basin gives a clean, fitted look because the basin and top are designed to sit on the vanity unit together. The key is dry fitting first, checking level, and sealing carefully.

Step 1: Dry Fit Everything
Place the basin top on the vanity without sealant. Check it sits flat, lines up with the unit, and leaves enough room for pipework, tap tails and the waste trap.
Step 2: Fit Tap And Waste Before Final Positioning
It is often easier to fit the tap and waste while the basin top is accessible. Follow the manufacturer instructions and avoid overtightening fittings against ceramic or resin surfaces.
Step 3: Check Level
Set the vanity unit level before sealing the basin. If the unit is out of level, water may sit in the wrong place or the basin top may not seal evenly.
Step 4: Apply Sealant
Apply a suitable bead of sanitary silicone where the basin top meets the unit and wall. Use masking tape for a cleaner edge, then smooth the bead before it skins over.
Step 5: Connect And Test
Connect the tap supply and waste trap. Run water, fill the basin slightly, release it, and check every joint with dry tissue. Leave access clear until you are confident there are no drips.
