Start with the cabinet, not the sink
A kitchen sink has to fit the base unit, worktop material, tap position, waste route and how you actually wash up. Style comes after those checks.
What to compare
- Single bowl, one-and-a-half bowl, double bowl or compact sinks.
- Stainless steel, ceramic, composite and resin materials.
- Inset, undermount and Belfast-style fitting types.
- Drainer direction, tap hole location and waste kit access.
Safety note
If pipework needs moving or the worktop needs specialist cutting, use the right installer.
