Wallpapering needs clean measuring, straight first drops and careful trimming. The right basic kit helps avoid tears, bubbles and ragged edges.
Useful kit
- Sharp snap-off knife and spare blades.
- Smoothing brush or plastic smoother.
- Paste brush or roller, depending on paper type.
- Plumb line or level for the first drop.
- Seam roller used gently, not aggressively.
Tip
Change blades often. A blunt knife can ruin an otherwise good wallpaper job.
